Mark Teich, Founder and CEO

Mark founded TGS after a career as a trader on Wall Street. He developed the concept for the garden system in his backyard after moving from New York City to Westchester County, New York. For more of the story of how TGS got started click here.

Jamie Friedman, President

Jamie joined TGS after a career as a Floor Broker on the New York Stock Exchange. Jamie and Mark installed the second TGS garden in Jamie's backyard and the rest is history.

Jared Finkelstein, General Counsel and Business Manager

Jared caught the garden bug and joined TGS after serving as a senior legal executive for major international companies such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Dun & Bradstreet and as a corporate associate for Simpson Thacher and Bartlett. He has a JD from Fordham University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Annie Farrell, Garden Master

Annie learned about TGS in connection with one of our early school garden projects and fell in love with our concept. Annie grew up in New York City and as a child visited farms in Northern Westchester during Summers and weekends. She has been involved with farming and sustainable living ever since.
